In addition to the responsibility for moving and guiding large vehicles and cranes, the job as a Traffic Marshall entails dealing with the performance of daily safety assessments, safety briefings and monitoring of all traffic at the construction site/workplace. Construction sites / workplaces are ever changing and as such the Traffic Marshall constantly applies his/her training, since it is a marshall's task to be aware of the daily changes and take them into account, in the marshall's daily work.

The student will learn about:

  • Health and Safety legal restrictions on traffic management
  • Traffic Marshall/Banksman responsibilities
  • Traffic Marshall/Banksman PPE
  • Traffic Marshall/Banksman safety signs
  • Signs and Signals (HSE Regulations of 1996, L64)
  • Traffic risk assessment
  • Traffic management
  • Dangerous manoeuvres, incl. reversing

This is a customer-specific course, adapted to meet each customer's specific needs and challenges. Our Traffic Marshall certificate is valid for 2 years
