The training shall provide competence in:

  • Risk understanding and barriers
  • Helicopter evacuation
  • Evacuation means
  • Use of survival suit at sea

After completing the training, the participant must be able to;

  • Describe risk factors and identify barriers
  • Contribute to increased safety on offshore installations
  • Evacuate from helicopter
  • Evacuate from offshore facilities using escape chute and raft
  • Wear a survival suit at sea


Prerequisites


Knowledge requirement

  • Basic safety training
  • Active member of the following emergency teams:
    • Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) or
    • Search and Rescue Team.


Duration


Duration of the course is 1 day

  • 1 day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours effective training
  • 1 hour is 60 minutes
  • 2 of the 8 hours consists of e-learning completed prior to course start. 


Submission


The e-learning has to be completed before you meet at Nosefo

Personnel who perform emergency preparedness function within search and rescue teams and Helicopter Landing Officer.
