The training shall provide competence in:

  • Search and rescue
  • Use of extinguishing agents
  • Protective equipment

After completing the training, the participant must be able to:

  • carry out search and rescue with the correct use of fire-fighting and protective equipment
  • use proper extinguishing and protective equipment to extinguish a fire
  • use protective equipment and smoke diver equipment correctly, as well as perform safety checks of the equipment


Prerequisites


Search and rescue team basic course

Personnel who have a smoke diver function in search and rescue teams must submit valid documentation of health examinations and physical tests (fitness tests and strength requirements) for smoke divers. Ref. Offshore Norways guidance

Fitness tests and strength tests can be ordered from Nosefo if required.



Duration


Duration of the course: 2 days

  • 1 day is 8 hours with a minimum og 6 hours effective training
  • 1 hour is 60 minutes
