  • Monitoring and documentation

  • Treatment of rescued persons, hypothermia
  • Medicines and medical equipment, Intravenous fluid therapy
  • Wound treatment
  • Simple surgical treatment
  • Tropical diseases, vaccinations
  • Acute gastrointestinal disorders


Prerequisites


Completed and passed Medical First Aid according to STCW Table A-VI/4-1.



Duration


Duration of the course: 5 days

  • 1 day is 8 school hours
  • 1 school hour is 45 minutes


Target audience


Seafarers who will be responsible for medical treatment on board.
