Courses: Basic First Aid

First aid basic course gives you competence in:

• Organization of emergency preparedness
• Introduction to first aid
• Respiratory and respiratory function (A + B)
• Circulatory failure (C), fractures and IV-fluid treatment
• Level of consciousness (D) and acute medical conditions
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Hypothermia, burns and electrical damage
• Trauma patient - head, neck and back injury (ABCDE)

After completing the training, the participant should be able to:

• Perform basic life-saving first aid in case of serious injury and illness
• Assist the nurse in examining and treating patients

Prerequisites

Knowledge requirement: Basic Safety Training

Duration

Duration of the course is 5 days

• 1 day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours effective training
• 1 hour is 60 minutes

Target audience

Personnel who should be able to function as members of a first aid team
