The training shall provide competence in;
- FRC technical
- Maneuvering
- Navigation
- Communication
- Search and rescue
- Operation of FRC during night time
After completing the training, the participant must be able to;
- Be able to launch, hook in, operate boat and equipment in a satisfactory manner
- Master the most common search methods
- Perform pick-up of person in the sea and be able to perform the functions of a FRC-crew member.
Operation of FRC during night time is a separate module that is only taken by personnel who must possess this competence.
FRC basic training or FRC according to STCW Table A-VI/2-2.
Duration of the course is 1 day.
- 1 day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours effective training.
- 1 hour is 60 minutes
- Night time operation is 4 hours, with a minimum of 3 hours of practical training.
Personnel that is part of the FRC crew.
