The training shall provide competence in;

  • FRC technical
  • Maneuvering
  • Navigation
  • Communication
  • Search and rescue
  • Operation of FRC during night time

After completing the training, the participant must be able to;

  • Be able to launch, hook in, operate boat and equipment in a satisfactory manner
  • Master the most common search methods
  • Perform pick-up of person in the sea and be able to perform the functions of a FRC-crew member.

Operation of FRC during night time is a separate module that is only taken by personnel who must possess this competence.



Prerequisites


FRC basic training or FRC according to STCW Table A-VI/2-2.



Duration


Duration of the course is 1 day. 

  • 1 day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours effective training.
  • 1 hour is 60 minutes
  • Night time operation is 4 hours, with a minimum of 3 hours of practical training.


Target audience


Personnel that is part of the FRC crew.
