The training shall provide competence in:
- Risk understanding and barriers
- Helicopter evacuation
- Evacuation means
- Use of survival suit at sea
After completing the training, the participant must be able to;
- Describe risk factors and identify barriers
- Contribute to increased safety on offshore installations
- Evacuate from helicopter
- Evacuate from offshore facilities using escape chute and raft
- Wear a survival suit at sea
Knowledge requirement
- Basic safety training
- Active member of the following emergency teams:
- Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) or
- Search and Rescue Team.
Duration of the course is 1 day
- 1 day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours effective training
- 1 hour is 60 minutes
Personnel who perform emergency preparedness function within search and rescue teams and Helicopter Landing Officer.
