GWO - Working at Heights Refresh
The aim of the Working at Heights Refresh Module is to review and enhance the knowledge and skills previously acquired by participants. Through a combination of theoretical and practical training, this module equips participants with the ability to use basic personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform safe work at heights, including comprehensive basic rescue procedures in the wind turbine (WTG) industry environment.
The Working at Heights Refresh course focus on the following:
- Use of Basic Personal Protective Equipment: Participants will revisit the correct use of essential personal protective equipment, including harnesses, helmets, safety shoes, and other necessary gear. The training will emphasize effectively utilizing this equipment to protect oneself from potential hazards in the workplace.
- Working Safely at Heights: The module offers a comprehensive review of safety procedures and techniques for working at heights. Participants will refresh their knowledge on risk assessment, choosing appropriate fall protection systems, and methods to minimize risks while working at elevated positions, whether on structures or wind turbines.
- Performing Comprehensive Basic Rescue Operations from Heights: Participants will refresh their skills in conducting complex rescue operations from heights in remote wind energy environments. This includes revisiting the planning and execution of rescue missions, the use of rescue equipment, and collaborative methods to ensure the efficient evacuation of individuals in distress.
Certificate Validity Period:
- The certificate issued upon completion of this module is valid for 24 months.
- Participants must renew their certificates and training records before the end of the validity period.
- If a certificate expires, the participant must complete the full Working at Heights training to obtain a new training record.
