GWO - First Aid Refresh

This refresher course in first aid will review and build upon previously acquired knowledge and skills from the GWO – First Aid through theoretical and practical training.

The objective of this module is to:

Refresh participants' previous experiences, knowledge, skills, and abilities through theoretical and practical training. This will enable them to recognize signs and symptoms of life-threatening situations and administer safe and effective first aid in the wind turbine industry (WTG) environment. The primary goal is to save lives and prevent further illness or injury until the casualty can be transferred to the next level of care.

Certificate Validity Period:

• The certificate issued upon completion is valid for 24 months.
• Certificates and training records must be renewed before the end of this validity period.
• If a certificate expires, the participant must complete the full First Aid training to obtain a new training record.

Target audience

Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields. Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or their workplace duty holder as a function, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate of the identified risks.
