In this course, students complete an entire project cycle, from defining mission goals and requirements, to the first draft of a system design, simulation and testing, customization, final design, AIT, verification tests, launch, and data analysis and evaluation. The project course provides practical experience in systems engineering, design of electrical and mechanical subsystems, sensor technology, data analysis, mission planning, and project management.
The course includes a 5-day stay at Andøya with a course in AIT in a cleanroom and handling of flight hardware, as well as launching a CanSat built during the semester to achieve the defined mission goals.
